Job summary

Boy s & Girls Clubs of Utah County maintains a Beaver site delivering afterschool programming for youth. The Youth Development Professional supports relationships, supervision, and inclusive activities, fostering growth and safe environments for youth participants.

The role requires ongoing training, flexibility, and engagement with school partners. Hours are 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, with a total weekly range of 15–22 hours.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth ages 5–12 or 13–18.
• Ability to work on a team.
• Proficiency with Google Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with youth and families and provide active supervision to maintain a safe environment.
• Lead and support engaging games, recreation, and enrichment activities for participants.
• Support social and emotional development and model positive communication.
• Follow lesson plans and activity schedules; assist with attendance tracking and program documentation.
• Attend trainings, site meetings, and adapt to program needs; participate in outdoor and indoor activities as required.
