Job summary

The YMCA of Natrona County is seeking an Afterschool Counselor to join our Casper, Wyoming team. This part-time role runs Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 6:15pm, in-person at our Y location, supporting youth and families with a positive, developmental program.

CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required. Prior afterschool child-care experience is preferred, with a focus on inclusive, engaging activities and safe, supportive environments.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age and meets state requirements.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.
• Experience working with children in afterschool setting preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and strengthen community.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a group of children and program activities.
• Follows policies and safety procedures; maintains program records.
• Nurtures children through purposeful, culturally relevant activities.
• Creates positive rapport with youth and families; supports youth leadership.
• Attends family nights, staff meetings, and training; performs other duties.
