YMCA of Greenville is seeking an After School Counselor I for part-time hours, typically 2:15pm–6:00pm, to support youth development and healthy living in our community. You will plan age-appropriate activities and promote academic enrichment, physical activity, and social skills.

The role emphasizes safety, supervision, and positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Benefits include earned wage access, discounted memberships and programs, and retirement options through the YMCA.

Formación

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Minimum of 6 months experience working with youth.
• Ability to be a good role model and to adapt to changing needs and circumstances.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
• Build and maintain order and enthusiasm in a group.
• Supervise and manage groups of school age children during eLearning and homework; lead them in physical activity games, arts and crafts, nutrition lessons, etc.
• Develop and implement lesson plans for program times utilizing Risk management, State childcare COVID guidelines, social and emotional learning and academic enrichment activities.
• Attend quarterly YMCA trainings and maintain accurate records.
