Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County (BGCSC) in Oak Harbor, WA is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support and implement diverse programs for youth ages 5 to 18. Under the Unit Director, you will help achieve outcomes in Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship.

Youth Development Professionals create a safe, fun environment, help youth build confidence, supervise activities, and ensure engagement while adhering to BGCSC policies and safety

Qualifications

Minimum age 16; 18+ preferred for DCYF supervision.
High school diploma or GED or active enrollment preferred.
Ability to pass background check and drug test; CPR/First Aid/AED certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning and implementing activities to provide a sense of belonging.
Assist with managing program supplies and equipment.
Engage youth in physical activities, sports, S.T.E.M, arts and crafts.
Supervise youth per DCYF and BGCA standards.
Prepare snacks with food safety in mind.
Support youth with behavior using SEL and trauma-informed practices.
