Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a Site Coordinator, After School, Beyond the Bell, High School, at North Valley Family YMCA, Porter Ranch, CA. The role leads an after school program, mentors a team, and partners with schools to offer engaging activities focused on leadership, college and career readiness, and youth development.

The position is full-time and year-round, with daily hours and seasonal enhancements.

Qualifications

• Twenty one (21) years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• College coursework in Child Development, Human Services, Recreation, Humanities, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Leadership Development, or related field preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete district required basic education assessment.
• Experience leading adults and working with older youth or teens in a group setting.
• Experience planning and implementing age appropriate, developmentally appropriate youth programs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with teens, families, staff, and team members.
• Current EMSA First Aid and CPR certifications or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Health screenings and background clearances before participating.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high quality after school program for teens.
• Coach and mentor YMCA Team Members to deliver engaging club experiences.
• Build relationships with school staff, families, and partners.
• Create opportunities that encourage youth leadership and belonging.
• Ensure safety, efficiency, and grant compliance in program operations.
