Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a Site Director for the North Valley Family YMCA Afterschool Program in Porter Ranch, CA. The role oversees program development, safety, licensing compliance and staff development to ensure high-quality child care and youth development.

The Site Director will manage curriculum, family communications, budgeting and marketing while maintaining safety and strong leadership for continuity across the program.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: age 18 or older.
• Education: degree in early childhood education or child development or related.
• Experience: teaching in group child care program; licensing requirements.
• Licenses: First Aid, CPR certifications; TB and other health requirements.
• Work environment: able to lift 30–35 lbs; indoor/outdoor settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement enrollment goals in Branch Operating Plan.
• Ensure licensing compliance and staffing ratios at all times.
• Maintain attendance records and PCG reports.
• Provide safe, engaging activities and positive behavior management.
• Communicate with parents about program schedules and events.
• Assist in staff recruitment, training and budget management.
• Promote YMCA programs and engage families and volunteers.
