Job summary

Arc After School & Experiential Education in Los Angeles, CA is hiring a Site Coordinator to lead after-school programs and support program leads. You will recruit and mentor staff, coordinate daily activities, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for students.

The role emphasizes collaboration with school administration, family communication, and maintaining attendance records while upholding licensing and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in after-school programming operations and administrative skills.
• 1+ years’ experience managing a team.
• Effective communication with kids, parents, school admins and teachers.
• Ability to supervise and support staff without constant direction.
• Ability to collaborate with all levels of staff.
• Professional attitude, integrity, confidentiality and discretion.
• Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions and resolve conflicts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and common operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily afterschool programs and activities.
• Ensure programs are engaging, age-appropriate, and promote development.
• Recruit, train, and manage afterschool program staff.
• Serve as primary contact for school administration and partnerships.
• Develop staff schedules, assign duties, and conduct evaluations.
• Provide ongoing professional development for staff.
• Maintain safe, inclusive environment for all staff and students.
• Address student behavior in a positive, constructive manner.
• Monitor attendance and engagement and communicate with parents/school staff.
• Collaborate with district staff to align with goals and community needs.
• Communicate updates to parents/guardians on progress and activities.
• Maintain records including attendance, incident reports, and evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with state/local licensing and safety requirements.
• Develop and manage program budget; oversee setup of materials and space.
• Coordinate transportation and meals/snacks as needed.
• Act as primary contact for the program with stakeholders.
