Job summary

Arc Experience Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Youth Program Leader to greet students after school, assist with homework, and lead enrichment activities. You will organize indoor and outdoor programs and create engaging clubs.

Work focuses on safety, inclusivity, and social-emotional learning. You will adapt activities for diverse students and collaborate with the Site Coordinator. Bilingual English/Spanish applicants are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation.
• Ability to communicate with kids and parents comfortably.
• College credits or pass a proficiency exam.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome kids at the end of their school day.
• Organize and lead activities, including homework help, games, arts & crafts and projects.
• Join in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Create unique clubs for students (e.g., career readiness, cooking, anime, dance).
• Maintain a secure environment by following safety protocols and supervising group dynamics.
• Oversee safety and well-being during after-school activities.
• Encourage participation and adapt activities to diverse needs.
