Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Part-time Youth Development Counselor to direct an afterschool program in Katy ISD areas. You will ensure safety, run age-appropriate activities, and model YMCA values for children and families.

Eligibility includes a high school diploma (GED accepted), 70 hours of related training, and CPR/First Aid/AED. A temporary $3/hr stipend applies to eligible locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age and valid CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.
• Experience with youth in licensed facilities or programs preferred.
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee afterschool program operations and site safety.
• Supervise staff, maintain attendance and incident records.
• Plan age-appropriate activities aligned with curriculum.
