Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis is hiring a part-time Youth Development Professional to plan and implement structured educational, social, and recreational activities for youths ages 5–18. This role focuses on creating engaging after-school experiences in a supportive environment.

Hours are 2:00pm–7:00pm, up to 29.5 hours per week. You will assist with homework, supervise activities, and help foster learning while promoting safety and positive development.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work with children ages 5–18.
• Proficient with basic computer and technical skills; assist with homework.
• Comfortable with grade-level reading, math and science.
• Able to move around the classroom, supervise students and assist as needed.
• Classroom management and conflict resolution skills are required.
• Knowledge of arts & crafts, visual arts, physical fitness and STEM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement structured educational, social, and recreational programs for youths ages 5–18.
• Lead activities during after-school hours.
• Monitor student progress and provide support as needed.
• Maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
