Job summary

The Youth Development Professional at Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County supports KidsCare programming for ages 5–12, delivering safe, engaging activities that promote academic and social-emotional growth. The role emphasizes belonging, competence, usefulness, and positive relationships within a welcoming youth community.

The position is part-time, 19.17 hours per week, Monday through Friday 1:40 pm–5:30 pm, with onboarding ahead of the August 2026 start date.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience working with youth ages 5–12.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; team player.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise and engage youth during daily program activities.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of members.
• Respond to injuries, emergencies, and safety concerns.
• Support safe transitions and structured supervision indoors and outdoors.
• Assist with attendance tracking and program documentation.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
