Qualifications

• Hold an active West Virginia professional teaching certificate.
• Demonstrate knowledge of effective instructional practices and intervention strategies.
• Ability to monitor and document student progress and attendance.
• Experience with small-group instruction and differentiated teaching.
• Familiarity with DI and grade-level standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-school tutoring in reading, math, writing and core subjects.
• Plan instructional activities aligned with WV standards and student needs.
• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to address gaps.
• Collaborate with teachers and program staff to identify students needing support.
• Use interventions and resources to support diverse learners.
• Maintain accurate attendance and progress documentation.
• Maintain a safe, structured learning environment after school.
• Communicate student progress to school personnel as needed.
• Comply with policies and professional standards.
