Qualifications

• Hold a valid West Virginia professional teaching certificate.
• Demonstrate knowledge of effective instructional practices and interventions.
• Demonstrate ability to assess student progress and adjust instruction.
• Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work with students of varying abilities and needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic tutoring in reading, mathematics, writing, and core subjects.
• Plan activities aligned with WV standards and student needs.
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to strengthen skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and program staff to identify students needing support.
• Use instructional strategies and resources to support diverse learners.
• Monitor student participation and progress throughout the program.
• Maintain attendance records and instructional documentation as required.
• Maintain a positive, structured learning environment for student engagement.
• Provide supervision during program hours and activities.
• Communicate student progress and needs to school personnel.
