LearningWorks Afterschool is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant in Southern Maine to support elementary students with academic activities and enrichment. You will help teachers deliver instruction, work with small groups, and assist in creating a welcoming, structured learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Team collaboration in a classroom or program setting
• Some college preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging academic instruction and enrichment activities
• Provide small-group and one-on-one academic support
• Collaborate with Teachers, Site Coordinators, and school staff
• Observe student progress and communicate updates to Teachers
• Participate in weekly team meetings and trainings
