LearningWorks is seeking an After School Teaching Site Coordinator in Portland, ME for a four-day-per-week program supporting elementary students. The role combines instructional leadership with site management, supervising staff and maintaining strong family and school partnerships.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in education or related field.
• State of Maine Teaching Certification (preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership experience in an education setting.
• Experience with diverse communities and low-performing populations (preferred).
• Strong technology skills including Google Workspace.
• Transferable skills will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily operation of a four-day-per-week afterschool program serving elementary students.
• Create a structured learning environment that promotes academic growth, positive behavior, and social-emotional development.
• Assist with student recruitment, enrollment, and registration processes.
• Coordinate all aspects of programing including instruction, transportation and nutrition.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and school partners.
• Monitor and support student attendance to meet program participation goals established through grant requirements.
• Assist Afterschool Directors with curriculum planning, activity scheduling, and continuous program improvement.
