Job summary

LearningWorks is seeking an Afterschool Teacher to deliver engaging instruction to elementary students across Southern Maine, in multiple locations. This part-time after-school role runs Sept through May and offers compensation of $27.56 per hour.

The Teacher collaborates with the Site Coordinator to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment. Responsibilities include planning, differentiating instruction, maintaining attendance records, and participating in weekly meetings.

Qualifications

• Maine teaching certification or eligibility is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required.
• Experience teaching in an elementary/afterschool or youth program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging afterschool instruction to elementary students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs and abilities.
• Maintain accurate attendance and required program documentation.
• Collaborate with Site Coordinator and staff; participate in weekly meetings.
• Support positive behaviors aligned with partner school practices.
