Job summary

LearningWorks is seeking a part-time LearningWorks After School Teaching Site Coordinator in Biddeford, ME. The role focuses on coordinating daily operations of a four-day-afterschool program for elementary students, ensuring a structured, engaging learning environment and strong family-school communication.

The TSC will support recruitment, enrollment, and program planning while partnering with Afterschool Directors on curriculum and continuous improvement. In-person work is required.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in education or related field.
• State of Maine Teaching Certification (preferred).
• Minimum three years of teaching experience with elementary students.
• Experience with diverse communities.
• Strong technology skills including Google Workspace.
• Flexibility and creativity with solving problems.
• Ability to analyze student progress data to inform instruction.
• Transferable skills and qualifications will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operation of a four-day-per-week afterschool program.
• Create a structured learning environment promoting academic growth and social-emotional development.
• Assist with student recruitment, enrollment, and registration processes.
• Coordinate all aspects of programming including instruction, transportation, and nutrition.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and school partners.
• Monitor and support student attendance to meet grant-based participation goals.
• Assist Afterschool Directors with curriculum planning and program improvement.
