Job summary

Montessori Academy of Colorado is seeking an Extended Day and Camp Manager to lead the after-school and summer programs year-round. This hands-on role hires, trains, and supervises staff, maintains spaces, oversees safety, and acts as the main contact for families, staff, and vendors during after care and camp.

You will coordinate with school directors, manage enrichment vendors, design summer camp scheduling, ensure licensing compliance, and uphold strong program quality with clear transitions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, event coordination, program management, or related field.
• Three or more years of supervising staff in a school-age childcare, camp, or youth program.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proven experience collaborating with external vendors and program providers.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs and willingness to drive the school van if needed.
• Proficiency with standard office software and comfort with learning new digital platforms.
• Clear communicator with stakeholders including vendors, staff, and licensing officials.
• Commitment to MAC's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise After School Assistant Teachers.
• Set staff-to-child ratios for each activity and space as dictated by our license, and adjust coverage day to day as enrollment shifts.
• Run onboarding for new assistant teachers, including behavior guidance and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular check-ins and an annual performance review for each direct report.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise the Summer Camp teacher team each spring.
