Job summary

EmergencyMD is hiring an AmeriCorps STEM Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year in Provo, Utah. This part-time position involves leading STEM education at various elementary schools, working from 2-6 PM, Monday to Friday. A $4,800 living allowance will be provided, alongside an education award of $1,565.08 upon successful completion. Ideal for those pursuing careers in education or STEM-related fields.

This role requires experience with youth, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to manage classroom behavior. Training and professional development assistance are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age and a US citizen or legal resident.
• Meet the requirements set by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.

Responsibilities

• Lead STEM lessons weekly and track student data.
• Build positive relationships with youth and families.
• Implement and evaluate programs and activities.

Skills

Experience in working with children

Knowledge of youth development

Organize and supervise members in a safe environment

Valid State Driver's License

CPR and First Aid Certifications may be required

Motivated youth and manage behavior problems

Education

High school diploma or GED
