Job summary

EmergencyMD is seeking a part-time AmeriCorps STEM Specialist in Heber City, Utah. The role involves leading hands-on STEM education at the Boys & Girls Club, while facilitating youth development activities. Candidates should be 18+, U.S. citizens or legal residents, and have a high school diploma or GED. Responsibilities include teaching STEM lessons, building relationships with youth, and supervision during various activities. A living allowance of $4,800 and an education award upon completion are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
• Meet requirements set by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications may be required.
• Valid State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Lead STEM lessons each week.
• Maintain records of lesson plans and track student data.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor activities.
• Build positive relationships with youth and their families.

Skills

Experience in working with children

Plan and implement quality programs for youth
