Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County is seeking a part-time AmeriCorps STEM Specialist for the 26-27 school year at Heber Valley Elementary School. The position involves assisting with STEM education for youth through engaging lessons.

The AmeriCorps member will help lead activities, provide mentorship, and track student progress. Ideal applicants will have experience with children, a high school diploma, and a passion for education and development.

This role offers a stipend of $4,800, plus an Education Award upon service completion. In-person attendance is required.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• United States citizen or legal permanent resident.
• Preference for educational or work experience related to STEM.

Responsibilities

• Lead STEM lessons weekly.
• Maintain records of lesson plans and student data.
• Ensure member safety during activities.

Skills

Experience in working with children

Knowledge of youth development

Ability to work with the school and general public

Education

High school diploma or GED

Tools

CPR and First Aid Certifications

Valid State Driver's License
