Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) seeks an energetic after-school program assistant to support students and families at school sites in the East Bay. You will build relationships, support social-emotional learning, and help maintain safe, inclusive routines.

The role requires an associate degree or 48 college units, plus a background check and TB clearance. You’ll work 22 hours/week, with pay at $23.50/hour, and opportunities for growth in education and community leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or 48 college units are required.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and TB clearance.
• Mandated Reporter certification and other required trainings are required.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships and sense of belonging for students.
• Support students’ SEL through restorative practices and de-escalation.
• Address conflicts and behavioral concerns using restorative approaches.
• Notify coordinator of safety or escalation concerns.
• Engage families respectfully while maintaining confidentiality.
