Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources is seeking a Part-time, non-exempt program support role for Expanded Learning Programs at school sites in California. You will engage students after school, help with SEL, and collaborate with families and school staff to create a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher required or 48 college units
• Criminal background check and TB clearance completed
• Ability to work after-school hours through the academic year
• Experience with K–12 youth in educational or community settings
• Ability to build positive relationships with diverse youth
• Mandated Reporter certification and trainings completed
• Supervise and engage up to 22 youth independently
• Basic proficiency with email, Google Drive, and program platforms

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships and belonging for disengaged or struggling students
• Support students’ social-emotional learning using restorative approaches
• Address conflicts and behavioral concerns with culturally responsive strategies
• Communicate concerns to the EXL Program Coordinator when needed
• Foster professional relationships with families while maintaining confidentiality
• Participate in training, coaching, and meetings to improve practice
• Use data to refine lessons and improve outcomes
• Engage in CQI processes per the EXL Handbook
• Provide homework support and skill-building activities
• Plan inclusive, trauma-informed activities for diverse learners
• Collaborate with staff and school personnel to support program goals
