Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) is hiring an EXL Program Instructor in San Francisco to deliver high-quality learning experiences for K-12 youth. You will foster inclusive, trauma-informed environments and build strong relationships with students, families, and school staff.

This role emphasizes equity and safe, engaging activities aligned with BACR values. You will support SEL, coordinate with families, and participate in ongoing training and CQI processes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or 48 college units, or passing of instructional aide exam.
• Background check and TB clearance required.
• Ability to work after-school hours through mid-June.
• Experience with K-12 youth in educational, enrichment, or community settings.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships and foster belonging for disengaged or struggling students.
• Support students' social-emotional learning through restorative practices and de-escalation.
• Address conflicts and bullying with culturally responsive approaches.
• Inform coordinator when student needs exceed program capacity.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers while maintaining confidentiality.
