Job summary

Mad Science is seeking an enthusiastic instructor to lead an after-school science enrichment program for elementary-age students. The role involves delivering a 1-hour hands-on class each week for 8–10 weeks, using a preset curriculum, and fostering excitement for science in young learners.

Ideal candidates enjoy teaching children, are available two weekdays after 2 p.m., and can commit to a part-time schedule with occasional daytime programming as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of elementary-age children (4-12).
• Must be available at least two weekdays after 2 p.m.
• Reliable transportation (not public or ride-share).
• All employees will be fingerprinted for criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a one-hour after-school science enrichment program using a pre-set curriculum.
• Lead a high-energy, hands-on class that meets weekly for 8-10 weeks.
• Inspire kids to enjoy science and learning.
• Coordinate with the program calendar and adhere to school year schedule.
