Job summary

Mission Oaks Recreation & Park District is seeking a Recreation Leader to supervise a group of school-age children in an after-school program. You will work under the Recreation Coordinator, delivering enrichment, sports, arts, and crafts activities with a team, typically 4–6 hours on weekdays.

The role is seasonal, part-time, and at-will, with a schedule that varies by enrollment for the 2026-2027 year. You will be part of a mission-driven team at Del Dayo Elementary School and Swanston

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 to apply; prior experience with children preferred but not required.
• Must be fluent in English; Spanish skills a plus.
• State laws require background check and TB test clearance; driving license optional.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of 4-12-year-old children and provide enrichment activites.
• Lead daily group activities and keep participants engaged at all times.
• Maintain inventory and orderliness of equipment and supplies.
• Prepare room and supplies for each activity; ensure snacks and concessions support.
• Follow safety procedures, document incidents, and report to Recreation Coordinator.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and support participant recruitment.
