Oakwood School seeks a caring, energetic Preschool PM Teacher & After-School Recreation Leader to support students throughout the day and beyond.

This unique position combines two roles within the Oakwood community: assisting the Preschool teaching team in the morning and joining the After-School Program to supervise recreation, enrichment activities, homework time, and supervised play for elementary and middle school students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience working with school-age children and families.
• Must pass pre-employment background check.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with lead teacher to support daily classroom program and curriculum.
• Assist with small-group and individual activities.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, meals, transitions, and play.
• Support positive behavior, social-emotional development, and routines.
• Prepare materials and maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Provide classroom coverage and additional student support as needed.
• Provide active supervision in After-School Program.
• Plan and lead recreational activities, sports, arts and enrichment, and homework support.
• Encourage inclusive behavior, independence, and responsible decision-making.
• Ensure safe supervision during activities and dismissals.
