Job summary

New York Edge seeks a Full-Time Assistant Director to support the After-School Program administration under the supervision of the ASPD, including implementing enrichment activities, scheduling, and daily supervision of staff. The Assistant Director covers the site in the absence of ASPD under the supervision of the Program Manager.

This role requires in-person work, with Monday–Friday shifts and a Brooklyn location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or actively completing BA.
• Minimum of 1 year of work-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall supervision of academic counselors and the after-school program component.
• Plan and implement enrichment activities and theme-based projects.
• Schedule activities and manage daily staff supervision and reporting.
• Coordinate off-site trips and supervise students and staff during outings.
• Lead projects that foster academic, cultural, and artistic growth.
• Provide coverage for activity specialists as needed.
• Ensure program compliance with DYCD, DOE, and DOHMH regulations.
