Job summary

New York Edge is seeking a Part‑Time Assistant Director to assist in the administration of the After‑School Program under the supervision of the ASPD, including implementing enrichment activities, scheduling, staff supervision, record keeping, and events. The site is in Bronx, NY, and the role is in-person.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, usually 12pm–6pm, with a pay range of $25–$30 per hour. A Bachelor's degree or active BA status and prior youth program experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Available for late afternoons/evenings.
• Experience teaching and instructing youth in academics, sports, or arts.
• Knowledge of the New York City Department of Education (DOE) procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervision of academic counselors and the program component.
• Schedule and implement enrichment activities aligned with the school day.
• Lead off-site trips and supervise students and staff during outings.
• Communicate program progress to the After-School Program Director.
• Ensure compliance with DYCD, DOE, and DOHMH regulations.
