Job summary

New York Edge, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Director to help administer the After-School Program under the supervision of the ASPD, including enrichment activities, scheduling, staff supervision, record keeping, and parent communication.

The role covers site operations in Brooklyn, with in-person duties Monday–Friday and a salary range of $50,000 to $55,000, commensurate with experience and education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or actively pursuing

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervision of academic counselors and an academic component of the after-school program
• Prepare alternative activities to supplement homework sessions
• Align daily activities with school standards and learning goals
• Lead off-site trips and supervise students and staff during outings
• Encourage projects fostering academic, cultural, and artistic growth
• Provide coverage for activity specialists
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and youth behavior management at site and on trips
• Communicate program progress and challenges to the After-School Program Director
• Ensure compliance with DYCD, DOE, and DOHMH regulations and current pandemic guidelines
• Other duties as assigned
