Job summary

The YMCA of Reading and Berks County is seeking a Site Supervisor for the Before & After School Program at Schuylkill Valley Elementary School. You will lead a team of 4–8 staff, supervise daily operations, and ensure engaging activities for children in the program.

Reporting to the Childcare Center Director, you will manage scheduling, documentation, and community outreach while helping to grow middle school programming and fundraising initiatives in alignment with YMCA values.

Qualifications

• Background checks for criminal history and child abuse required.
• Urine drug screening completed as part of hiring process.
• Strong administrative, supervisory, and organizational skills.
• Experience in recruiting, directing, and managing staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 4–8 program staff and support professional growth.
• Maintain accurate participant and staff documentation.
• Coordinate program hours, staffing schedules, and daily operations.
• Promote the program within the community to increase participation.
• Assist in developing additional middle school programs, events, and fundraising.
• Stay informed on trends in middle school programming and YMCA mission.

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or related field

Bachelor’s degree with 30 credit hours in above fields + 1 year of experience
