Job summary

Yu Ming Charter School seeks an Extended Care Program Assistant Site Supervisor to support the after-school program operations, safety, and student wellbeing at our Oakland campuses. The role acts as second-in-command during after-school hours, coordinating logistics, meals, attendance, and communications with families.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or higher and experience in camps or afterschool programs, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience leading in camps or afterschool programs.
• Proficiency with Google Suite.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support daily after-school program operations and activities.
• Coordinate use of classrooms and shared spaces for ECP and afterschool programming.
• Communicate professionally with staff, leadership, providers, and families.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for students.
• Assist with office tasks: attendance data entry, phones, sign-in, and filing.
• Lead lunch supervision and meal service with proper safety practices.
• Manage supplies, records, and site cleanliness.
• Secure and close the site in coordination with Site Manager.
