Job summary

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools is seeking an Extended Day Site Director at Discovery Middle School to organize after-school activities, arts, physical activity and socialization for school-age children. The role leads the program and collaborates with the site team and families to deliver a safe, engaging environment.

You will coordinate planning, maintain equipment, document attendance and lesson plans, and help ensure licensing compliance.

Qualifications

• High School graduate.
• 60 hours of college coursework, including 12 hours in child development.
• Experience working with school-age and/or middle students.
• Demonstrate aptitude/competence working with school-age and/or middle school students.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a program with physical activities, arts and socialization for peers.
• Collaborate with site team, Program Coordinator, principal and staff to share space.
• Maintain program equipment and inventory.
• Develop communication with parents of enrolled children; coordinate with School Resource Personnel as needed.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, child-oriented environment and meet health guidelines.
• Assist Program Coordinator to ensure the site meets DHS licensing regulations.
• Complete paperwork including lesson plans, purchase orders, attendance, accident reports, and logs.
• Work on all half days where care is provided.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
