Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) seeks a Program Coordinator for the EXL program to lead high-quality expanded learning for K-12 youth. You will supervise staff, ensure program quality and compliance, and cultivate partnerships with schools, families, and communities.

This full-time, year-round role requires compassionate, curious, humble, and accountable leadership. The pay range is $70,300–$72,000 with benefits including medical/dental/vision, a 403(b) plan, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

Job Description: Reports To: EXL Program Manager The EXL Program Coordinator leads high-quality expanded learning programs that support the academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth of K‑12 youth. This role requires a compassionate, curious, humble, accountable, and purpose‑driven leader who cultivates strong relationships, supervises staff, ensures program quality and compliance, and develops meaningful partnerships with schools, families, and communities. • Maintain accurate attendance records, program documentation, payroll submissions, incident reports, and compliance reporting.
• Ensure all required reports, student attendance records, snack reports, and other documentation are submitted accurately and on time.
• Uphold policies related to child supervision, emergency preparedness, mandated reporting, and risk management.
• Ensure health, safety, and wellness standards are consistently maintained throughout all program operations.
• Communicate concerns proactively and address operational, staffing, and student issues before they escalated.
• Manage facilities, supplies, resources, and program logistics responsibly and efficiently.

• Lead daily program operations and ensure the successful implementation of all expanded learning services at the school site.
• Create a positive, engaging, and purpose-driven culture for youth, families, and staff.

• Conduct regular staff meetings, one‑on‑one supervision meetings, observations, and performance evaluations.
• Support staff recruitment, screening, onboarding, retention, performance improvement, and separation processes in partnership with People & Culture.
• Oversee student recruitment, enrollment, registration, scheduling, and attendance initiatives to meet program participation goals.
• Monitor staffing structures and payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
• Serve as a visible leader and role model who promotes student success, staff excellence, and organizational values.
• Participate fully in BACR trainings, professional development opportunities, district meetings, and agency-wide initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher; alternatively, completion of at least 48 college units or passage of the Instructional Aide Examination.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and TB clearance.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a K‑12 educational setting or youth‑serving program.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience leading and supporting adult staff.
• Ability to work full‑time Monday through Friday and commit through the academic school year.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with youth, families, school personnel, and community partners.
• Proficiency with technology platforms including Google Drive, email, spreadsheets, and program management systems.
• Working knowledge of restorative practices, youth development principles, and DEIB concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Experience managing grant‑funded educational or expanded learning programs.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish, English/Chinese, or other languages).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, kneel, and move throughout program spaces for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to actively supervise youth during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Ability to travel between program spaces and participate in school and community events as needed.
