Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) is hiring part-time staff to support program activities for youth. You will help maintain a safe, supportive environment and work with instructors to implement youth-driven curricula across the Bay Area.

Training is provided, and you will interact with students and families in English daily. The role requires 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with commute to Antioch.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Available Monday–Friday, 15 hours per week.
• Ability to commute to Antioch.
• Commitment to social justice and youth development.
• Clear English communication with students and families.
• Basic reading proficiency to support student development.

Responsibilities

• Support a safe, emotionally supportive environment.
• Collaborate with instructors to support youth-driven curricula.
• Model BACR best practices as outlined in the handbook.
• Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times.
• Set a positive, proactive tone in language and behavior.

Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience/education, skillset, and geographic location.

Above is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay.

Qualifications

• No prior experience is required (we will train you)

• Ability to reliably commute to Antioch
• Commitment to social justice and leadership
• Passionate about learning and youth development: TK/K
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Must be able to provide a work permit
• Must be able to provide 2 reference letters
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with students and families
• Basic English reading proficiency to support students' academic development, enrichment offerings, and school day alignment.
• Preferred: Able to practice open, clear, and consistent communication and commitment to participate in professional development.
