Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) seeks an EXL Program Coordinator to lead high-quality expanded learning programs for K–12 youth in the Bay Area. You will cultivate relationships with schools, families, and communities, supervise staff, ensure program quality and compliance, and promote student development with a compassionate, curious, and collaborative approach.

Qualifications

The EXL Program Coordinator leads high-quality expanded learning programs that support the academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth of K–12 youth. This role requires a compassionate, curious, humble, accountable, and purpose-driven leader who cultivates strong relationships, supervises staff, ensures program quality and compliance, and develops meaningful partnerships with schools, families, and communities. • Pay rate: $70,300 - $72,000 annually, based on regional grant funding, size and scope of program, and experience

• Lead daily program operations and ensure the successful implementation of all expanded learning services at the school site.
• Create a positive, engaging, and purpose-driven culture for youth, families, and staff.
• Supervise program staff, volunteers, and activity leaders through ongoing coaching, support, performance feedback, and professional development.
• Conduct regular staff meetings, one-on-one supervision meetings, observations, and performance evaluations.
• Support staff recruitment, screening, onboarding, retention, performance improvement, and separation processes in partnership with People & Culture.
• Oversee student recruitment, enrollment, registration, scheduling, and attendance initiatives to meet program participation goals.
• Monitor staffing structures and payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with deadlines.

• Participate fully in BACR trainings, professional development opportunities, district meetings, and agency-wide initiatives

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree or higher; alternatively, completion of at least 48 college units or passage of the Instructional Aide Examination.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check and TB clearance.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a K–12 educational setting or youth-serving program.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience leading and supporting adult staff.
• Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday and commit through the academic school year.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with youth, families, school personnel, and community partners.
• Proficiency with technology platforms including Google Drive, email, spreadsheets, and program management systems.
• Working knowledge of restorative practices, youth development principles, and DEIB concepts

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Experience managing grant-funded educational or expanded learning programs.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish, English/Chinese, or other languages)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, kneel, and move throughout program spaces for extended periods.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to actively supervise youth during indoor and outdoor activities.

• Ability to travel between program spaces and participate in school and community events as needed
