Job summary

NIA Community Services Network Inc seeks a Program Coordinator to oversee a school-based after-school program. You will provide leadership, direction, and supervision to program staff to meet goals and outcomes.

You'll work with school principals and administrators, coordinate daily operations, manage logistics, and ensure compliance with funding and DOH requirements while engaging families and the community to foster a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree related to education or youth development.
• At least four years of relevant experience with children in education.
• At least two years supervising staff and managing programs.
• Strong leadership and diplomacy skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management.
• Familiarity with NY State Standards.
• Available Monday–Friday 10:00 am–6:00 pm with some events.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of a school-based after-school program.
• Manage daily operations and coordinate with school staff.
• Organize program logistics: schedules, meals, trips, supplies.
• Build relationships with school leaders and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with DOH and funder requirements.
• Maintain attendance data and enter data into the database.
• Assist in interviewing, training, and coaching staff and volunteers.
• Review lesson plans and support curriculum development.
• Participate in school leadership committees and PTA meetings.
• Engage families to meet students' needs.
