Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is seeking a group leader for the Christa McAuliffe School location in Concord, NH. The role runs August through the end of the school year with possible summer work at camps, leading recreational and educational activities for youth ages 6–12 in a safe, supportive environment.

You will implement programs, monitor safety, document incidents, and communicate with families and licensing bodies as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of youth development and age-appropriate activities.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Ability to communicate with parents/guardians and staff.
• Ability to plan and implement quality youth programs.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications per licensing rules.
• May require local travel for meetings or training.
• 21+ for driving Club van/short bus when needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Youth for Success by creating engaging activities.
• Lead age-appropriate day-to-day activities and supervise members.
• Orient new members to scheduling and program expectations.
• Provide guidance, role modeling, and constructive feedback.
• Maintain safety and proper conduct through best practices.
• Track attendance and keep spaces organized and safe.
• Document issues via injury/incident reports as needed.
• Communicate with families, staff, and external partners.
• Participate in staff meetings and events.
