Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is seeking caring mentors to join our team as part-time youth development staff. Work hours are 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm with seasonal summer opportunities at camps.

The role supports educational, enrichment, and recreational activities for members aged school-age. Responsibilities include implementing programs, ensuring safety, tracking attendance, and communicating with families and licensing authorities as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 600 hours of experience in a school-age program.
• At least 3 credits in child development or related field.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to motivate youth and communicate with parents.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that facilitates youth development outcomes.
• Implement and supervise programs, services, and activities.
• Monitor safety, attendance, and maintenance of spaces.
• Evaluate programs and address diverse needs and gender/cultural differences.
• Document problems with injury/incident reports.
• Communicate with childcare licensing and DCYF as needed.
• Participate in staff trainings and meetings.
• Maintain professional communication with families, staff, and members.
