Job summary

The Skagit YMCA School Age Youth program is seeking a site supervisor at Centennial Elementary School in Mount Vernon, WA. You will plan and implement a developmentally appropriate after-school program for 5-12 year olds, leading an assistant teacher and ensuring compliance with Washington licensing and YMCA policies.

Responsibilities include curriculum delivery, supervising children's health and safety, engaging families, maintaining the learning environment, coordinating snacks per USDA rules,

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in program planning preferred.
• Experience with children ages 5–12.
• TB test (Mantoux) required; HIV/AIDS/BBP awareness; First Aid and CPR certification; Food Handler’s Permit prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement curriculum for after-school program.
• Coordinate activities that fit children’s developmental needs.
• Supervise a group of children for health, safety and positive experiences.
• Communicate with families and conduct conferences as needed.
