Job summary

New York Edge, Inc. seeks an After School Program Director for a part-time, in-person role in Queens, NY. You will oversee daily program operations, staff, and compliance with contract requirements to ensure safe, engaging, and educational experiences for students.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 12pm–6pm with in-person work at NYC public schools. Compensation is $35 per hour, with duties spanning program management, outreach, and team development to support youth success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, Education/Psychology/Social Work preferred.
• At least 18 credit hours in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees program staff, operations and implementation of programs to meet timelines and budgets.
• Performs staff evaluations and development plans with HR.
• Conducts weekly/monthly staff meetings to discuss classroom management and lesson planning.
