Job summary

New York Junior Tennis & Learning (NYJTL) is seeking a Program Director to lead a DYCD-funded after-school program across multiple NYC sites. You will ensure contract compliance, program quality, staff supervision, family engagement, and a safe, inclusive environment.

You will direct daily operations, coordinate with schools and partners, manage data and budgets, and prepare audits and reports. Requires 3–5 years in youth development with supervisory experience and a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in youth development, after-school, or related fields, including supervisory/management.
• Strong understanding of DYCD-funded programs and NYC after-school landscape.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with school staff, families, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily program operations in alignment with DYCD guidelines and agency policies.
• Ensure enrollment targets, hours, activities, and staffing ratios are met.
• Serve as primary contact for DYCD program managers, schools, and leadership.
• Prepare for site visits, monitoring, audits, and corrective action plans.
• Coordinate with schools to align academics, enrichment, and SEL.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise program staff; conduct evaluations.
• Maintain partnerships with school staff, community orgs, and volunteers.
• Manage data entry, reports, and contract deliverables; monitor budget.
