New York Junior Tennis & Learning seeks a Social Work Manager to lead professional development, consult with staff, and coordinate systemwide social work initiatives for NYJTL’s after-school programs across NYC.

Using strengths-based and restorative practices, you will mentor staff, design trainings, and ensure high-quality behavioral, mental health, and family engagement supports across DYCD-funded sites.

Qualifications

  • MSW degree from an accredited school of social work is required.
  • New York State LMSW or LCSW licensure is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-MSW professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory, management, or staff development experience preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, or Russian strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation, coaching, professional development, and technical assistance to ~42 part-time social workers.
  • Conduct regular site visits to support implementation and coaching.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive professional development plan for social work staff.
  • Facilitate regular social work content convenings and learning sessions.
  • Design trainings on youth development, trauma-informed care, and restorative practices.
  • Mentor social workers to strengthen intervention and case management practices.
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing across ACES sites.
