Job summary

YMCA of Greater San Antonio is hiring an After School Site Director to oversee youth leaders and implement a developmentally appropriate program at multiple sites. The role includes supervising staff, maintaining safe facilities, and coordinating with school districts and regulators to ensure compliance.

You will lead staff meetings, manage daily operations, and promote collaborative partnerships with families and local schools within the YMCA mission.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Some college credits preferred.
• Must meet childcare licensing requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 1 year experience in a licensed childcare facility or related field preferred.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications required within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Experience with diverse populations and building positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manages and supervises after school youth leaders.
• Implements a developmentally appropriate activity program at each site and conducts on-the-job training.
• Maintains the facility and grounds in a safe, sanitary condition; supervises health and safety/risk management.
• Oversees food service and administrative/recordkeeping procedures for each site.
• Plans meetings with staff and volunteers to keep everyone informed on site management issues.
• Acts as liaison between YMCA/Y School Age program and district personnel, participants, and regulators.
