Job summary

YMCA of Greater San Antonio in Boerne/UTSA area is seeking an After School Site Director. This part-time, on-site role oversees after school youth leaders, develops activity programs, coordinates with schools and regulatory bodies, and ensures safety and compliance across sites.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, driver’s license, and certifications within 60 days. Strong leadership and communication in diverse settings are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Some college credits preferred.
• Must meet childcare licensing requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 1 year experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications required within first 60 days.
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Ability to build positive relationships across diverse populations.
• Must maintain professional relationships with staff, members and participants.
• Must meet driver requirements and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises after school youth leaders.
• Implements developmentally appropriate activity program.
• Provides on-the-job training.
• Maintains safe, clean facilities.
• Oversees food service program.
• Manages health, safety and risk at each site.
• Secures resources and supplies for daily operations.
• Maintains administrative records for each site.
• Plans staff/volunteer meetings and keeps staff informed.
• Ensures proper behavior and conflict resolution.
• Collaborates with school district personnel and regulatory agencies.
• Interacts with families to assess program needs.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
• Supports promotion of YMCA programs.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings.
