YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Association is hiring for the 2026/2027 school year to support after school programming at off-site school locations around Grand Rapids. As an After School Program Teacher, you will help create a safe, engaging environment and assist in planning and implementing activities for groups of children.
Positions are part-time, with hours 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A focus on safety and leadership supports youth development, and benefits include membership

Before and after school programming is located at off-site school locations throughout the Grand Rapids area.
After School Program Teachers provide a reliable, safe, and fun environment for children to unwind for their school day. Assistant Teachers will assist in the planning, developing, and implementing of classroom activities for programs. Schedules vary, but require Monday - Friday availability, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
Performs any other functions deemed to be necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Association
$15.21 - $19.01 ; Non-Exempt, Part time (up to 25 hours/week)
Six months to one year youth development related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles. Ability and desire to work with school age children.
