YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking Before and After School Program Teachers to create a fun and safe environment for children. Responsibilities include planning daily lesson activities and ensuring supervision during program hours.

Before and After School Program Teachers provide a reliable, safe, and fun environment for children to prepare for their school day and unwind. The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing classroom activities.
Schedules vary, but require Monday - Friday availability, 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM and/or 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
Perform any other functions deemed necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Association.
$17.09 - $21.36 per hour; Non‑Exempt, Part time (up to 25 hours/week).
Includes a $2 per hour shift premium for staff who work both before and after school program hours in the same day.
Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent in a youth development related field, or current enrollment in such a degree program. Six months to one year of youth development related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles. Ability and desire to work with school‑age children.
