Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center in Bakersfield, CA is seeking fun, dedicated math teachers to lead after-school instruction for K-6 students. You will use pre-planned lessons and work with groups of up to three students in a supportive environment.

We offer flexible part-time hours with weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings. A Bachelor's degree is required; teaching credentials are recommended, and US work authorization is necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Teaching Credential recommended.
• Must enjoy teaching, working, and inspiring students.
• Be punctual and local with reliable transportation.
• Strong knowledge of K-6 math; Algebra/Integrated 1+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead instruction in small groups (no more than 3 students).
• Use pre-planned lessons; no lesson planning required.
• Teach during weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings; part-time schedule.
• Not a remote position; local work only.
