Job summary

HeyTutor is seeking English & Math tutors to assist Elementary & Middle School students in Bakersfield after school. You will supervise students, help them catch up on learning gaps, and follow curriculum provided by the program.

Must pass an in-person background check. Schedule 12:30-6. Pay ranges from $22 to $26 per hour, with benefits including health care options, 401K, and attendance-based incentives.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an AA or higher, or be currently enrolled in college.
• Tutoring experience, especially with kids.
• Comfort tutoring Elementary School Math and ELA.
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting.
• Clear FBI-DOJ background check (provided through us).

Responsibilities

• Work with groups of students without a teacher or staff.
• Prepare area to start tutoring session.
• Take attendance and document progress in HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Lead tutoring sessions using provided curriculum.
• Clock in/out with Deputy for shifts.
• Perform other duties as required.
