Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center is seeking fun, dedicated math tutors for after-school and summer tutoring. You will teach Elementary–High School math in small groups of up to three students using pre-planned lessons. Scheduling is flexible, with most tutors working 2–5 days per week.

This is not a remote position. Preferred credentials include a teaching credential or a four-year degree in math or a related field; one to two years of teaching experience is also helpful.

Qualifications

• Teaching credentials preferred or four year degree in math or related field required
• Minimum of one or two years of teaching experience preferred
• Ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of general office equipment such as copiers, printers, and office phones
• Knowledge of tablet computers preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead instruction for math in small groups (up to 3 students).
• Use pre-planned lessons; no homework to grade or parent-conferencing required.
• Maintain flexible scheduling to fit around your availability; typically 2–5 days per week.
